A professional engineer and manager with over 27 years of executive and operations experience, Dan brings a perspective from a wide variety of companies, both large and small, to fill executive consulting roles for his clients.
During his tenure at NL Fisher, Dan has successfully managed a team of 9 professional engineering staff and over 40 field consultants delivering best-in-class performance for resource play development. Dan’s engineering and management skills positioned NL Fisher as the frontrunner in engineering quality through development of proprietary engineering systems Engineering Scorecards, and Competency-Based pay systems. Dan provided operational and production guidance for significant players such as Whitecap Resources, Husky Energy, TORC Oil and Gas, Western Zagros, Touchstone Energy, and Birchill Canada.
Dan provided management and operational consulting services for several E&P companies including BG International, Tasman Exploration, Grand Petroleum, Transglobe Energy, Hawk Energy, and Wolf Coulee Resources. Before beginning his consulting career, he held various engineering and operations roles of increasing responsibility with Imperial Oil Resources and ExxonMobil Canada including senior drilling engineer, project manager, and on-site facilities engineer for Imperial’s Cold Lake thermal operation.
Dan holds a bachelor of science degree in Mechanical Engineering with distinction from the University of Alberta and an executive Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Calgary. He is an active member of APEGA, President of the Nakiska Alpine Skiing Association (NASA), President of the Skimeisters Alpine Racing Club (SARC), and a volunteer member-at-large for the Grand Valley Landowner’s association.
